DIY Doily Bowl Tutorial

If you have a bunch of old doilies lying around, like myself, but don't know what to do with them, then here is a nifty idea!

They're easy and cheap to make and there is plenty you can do with them. Plus, they are just gorgeous.

All you need is:

PVA glue
A doily
A balloon
A paintbrush
Old newspaper and plastic container for the glue (not shown here)

So once you have your balloon, position the doily onto it and start applying PVA glue generously making sure that it's evenly spread.

Once you're happy with the shape, set it aside and wait for it to dry.

Then, once that's done, simply pop your balloon and voila!

A beautiful decorative piece which can hold a number of household items, such as keys, hair clips, jewellery, etc.

Another cute idea is to place some candles to make a nice centre piece on a table ^_^

It's easy, unique and sure to get compliments!

Love xo
